黄鸟黄鸟， Yellow birds,listen to me!
无集于谷， Don’t cluster on my paper mulberry tree.
无啄我粟。 Or eat up my millet completely.
此邦之人， People of this land
不我肯谷。 Me no food grant
言旋言归， All the time I long
复我邦族。 to return to my hometown.

无集于桑， Don’t cluster on my mulberry tree.

此邦之人， People dwelling in this place
不可与明。 Prove no honesty or grace.
